Lisa is the senior partner and co-founder of HazelAlleyne Law Office. She was born, and completed her early schooling, in St. Kitts. She was called to the Bar in St. Kitts & Nevis in July 2009.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, USVI campus and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom. She attended the Inns of Court School of Law and is a member of the Inner Temple Inn, London, United Kingdom, where she was called to the Bar in 2008. She obtained the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica, in 2009.
Lisa worked for many years in the area of banking and finance. Immediately before traveling to the United Kingdom to study law, Lisa worked as Manager of the Nevis branch of the Development Bank of St. Kitts & Nevis.
She currently serves as youth coordinator and lector with the Catholic Church in Basseterre and has led a number of youth delegations to gatherings throughout the Caribbean region. As head of the local arm of the Church’s radio programming committee, she has had the privilege of attending numerous media conferences regionally and as far as West Africa. She is also a member of the Basseterre Catholic Church’s Parish Council and the Immaculate Conception Catholic School Board and a member of the St. Kitts - Nevis Football Association's Disciplinary Committee.
Some of Lisa’s areas of practice to date have included general debt collection, company, contract, banking, family, probate, real estate, conveyancing, landlord and tenant and some quasi-criminal matters. She has appeared as counsel in the Magistrate’s and Supreme Courts and the Court of Appeal.
